Not just any flag
A man asked me today why a Confederate flag doesn't also fly over Antietam National Battlefield.
An odd question, especially on Flag Day.

Mannie, This question was asked at Wilson's Creek. Although both sides claimed victory after the battle, over the years it was generally conceded that since the secessionists held the field they were the victors. So some think the Confederate flag should fly there. I think the best response I heard was a fellow Ranger who said, "We don't fly the Rising Sun over the Arizona at Pearl Harbor, why would we fly a Confederate flag here?"

Bob,
And that pretty much sums it up.
Thanks for the thought.
