When bad things happen to good bridges

Uh-oh!

Burnside Bridge has sustained some damage.  I'll report back when I get in to work on Sunday.

Welcome back - Does this mean Ranger Mannie's career at ANB is no longer in jeopardy?

It's a good thing that your position isn't Subject to Furlough. I'm in a GS 9 Subject to Furlough position. Thankfully, my wife is in a GS 14 year round position with another agency. I play the house husband during the time off. That's a shame about the bridge - hope they have funds in the budget for a swift repair.

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for who ever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

I feel bad for the poor guy who gas to fish those.stones out of the creek. That water must be frigid!

Still, I have no doubt a flawless repair will be made. The NPS has some talented people.

No update, things are still up in the air.

Having things up in the air must be very stressful for you Mannie. Hope it gets settled soon.

Are they offering the Voluntary Seperation Incentive Payment (VSIP)? Take it Mannie!! I took the VSIP last spring. I was a GS 15 at DOD with 35 years of service. You'll love retirement - I do volunteer work now and it's awesome!! :)
