Seems to me that Monocacy had just one real cannon when I visited there as a kid. Now I could certainly be wrong, but I know that I only saw one.
The tube on this gun outside the visitor center is from the war, and I imagine that tis is the same gun that I remember as a kid. But these days Monocacy has more cannons than it used to, and some of them are fabulous reproductions that seem to be made of some sort of resin. I got a close look at a couple of them and they are very convincing.
When I get to the park, I'll investigate further and post pictures.
I know, the suspense is killing you.
Now get back to wrapping those presents!
