This is the view that greeted me this morning:

Can you imagine working at such a beautiful place?

Is that ice, or snow? That's a gorgeous view, Mannie! It's been chilly here, too. Drives the native Floridians nuts.

Barry,

Ice on snow! Talk about "gilding the lily".
Jim,

Tell me about it brother.

My first ever trip to Antietam was in Dec. 2003 for the Illumination. However, it snowed very heavily the night before, and the day of the event so it was postponed. But me and the young son of a friend I was with did not let that stop us from getting out and enjoying the battlefield in Winter. So of my most profound memories of the rolling fields are covered in a thick blanket of white. It was astounding. We had the whole place to ourselves. When we got back to the Visitor Center we were told that the Rangers had plowed the road down to Burnsides Bridge just for us! We will never forget how well taken care of we were by the Rangers that day.
And you Mannie my friend fit right in.

Mannie,

Great photo, and imagined it for a few seconds, and then looked out the window and remembered I am still in NJ. :)

Hope all is well.

Nice shot, Mannie! It's tough to get a decent shot when you point into the sun. But it works well here.

If you'd like some more snow, I'd be happy to give you some. :)
