Congrats on the full time gig. Any chance you were stationed on Adak Island in the Aleutians around 1970-71? I was a Navy CT on Adak then, and your name and face look real familiar. Idea for photos: trace the various offensives of the battle, stopping say every 30 or 40 yards or so to take a photo... the main thing missing from books is a good mental picture of that rolling terrain; how the dips and heights determined much ( some? ) of the action. Last: is the Carmon book worth 80 bucks or so? I'm thinking yep.
That's interesting. Although I was in the Navy from 1970 to 74 I was never near Adak. My brother, however, Joseph P. Gentile, a CT, was on Adak. in the early 1960s and the late '80s.

That's fairly obvious.

How do cookies know just what to say? Congrats again, Ranger.
Congratulations, Mannie! It's clear how much you care about the battlefield and to me that is what makes a truly great ranger!
As you said to me when I got my new "dream job"--"Sometimes the good guys do win."
See you on the field--
Tracey
Great news, Mannie! We all know what this means to you. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

"You'll make change?" Does that mean your new permanent job is working a new toll both at Antietam? Watch out for them golden dollars.
