Me and Old Man Winter
We are coming through our second winter here in Maryland. It's a very different kettle of fish from what we were used to.

Life in Maryland is good.

Michigan a "Godforsaken" place? I grew up in Flint.I'm about a year younger and was also given the American Heritage Civil War book as a gift.I had the Marx playset also.I think it came from Arlen's.We took a family vacation "Out East" in 1962 and the limbers and cannons at Manassas made a huge impression.I believe I read in a previous blog that you were from Burt.If so , I perhaps can understand the "Godforsaken" comment, but even there you can find something of interest.There is a very small Native American cemetary in Burt that holds several members of Co. K of the 1st Michigan Sharpshooters.
